The War for Southern Independence started in April 143 years ago and is still going on today.

Everyone in the SCV had ancestors that heard the call and marched off to defend their Homeland from the yankee invader.

All of them left knowing that he could be called to do just that. They did in horrible numbers.

In todays battles we are not called to lay our lives down.But we should, out of Honor and Respect for their sacrificies be wiling to go that extra mile to carry forward their, and ours heritage. One more meeting, one more phone call, one more recruitment effort, one more work day, one more renactment, one more living history.
