Compatriots of 2022:
It is indeed my pleasure to submit my first report to camp from up here in the land of the ape Lincoln. This wll be a combined report of the recent months.
When I left my Command in Illinois to join the ranks of 2022, it was certainly a time of mixed emotions. It ran the full spectrum of welcome and brotherhood from GA. to out and out hate from within the ranks of Illinois. Six weeks later I hold to my convictions, and know in my heart I made the right choice; for if you don't stand for something you surely will fall for anything.
During the month of May, Pam, Mayme, and I, as par the course cleaned the gravesites of Confederates buried here in our county. Compatriot Swain also of 2022 took care of those graves in his county as well. We change the Confederate grave flags on a regular basis as to keep them in good shape at all times.
We were discouraged to learn that several had been removed, for we thought we had problem resolved, however we replaced the missing ones, and got on with business at hand.
It is safe to say the "Sonny Lied", "Boycott Coke", "Let Georgia Vote" signs in our yard here in Ilinois, create a good deal of interest for our Brothers and Sisters in GA. That was our plan, and I know that some folks from Illinois have taken the time to get involved in the GA. flag fight, we are greatful for that.
As the weather continues to warm the tourists are back in the area and visitation to the Confederate Memorial here at Mole Church, is back in full swing. If the State of Illinois would ever cooperate and place a sign on the highway directing visitors our direction we would be able to experience more than the 4000+ that have graced us in the past two years. We will not however hold our breath waiting for the State of Illinois to cooperate in that manner however.
Compatriot Swain shall return to Illinois this weekend after his trip to Mississippi, where he took over $800 and hundreds of dollars of supplies to a "Childrens Home" in the name of the Greatest Southern President of all times Jefferson Davis. I for one am most proud of Jacobs actions.
In closing, I would like to say that we as a family shall be attending Nation reunion in Dalton and look forward to once again being in the company of our beloved Georgia kin. For that is surely how feel about ya'll.
With warmest regards from Behind Enemy Lines,
T Warren Heritage Officer Knox Camp 2022
