we will all go on to meet at Capt. Joe's Seafood Restaurant for an early supper and more fellowshipping with our fellow Confederates. We have been contacted about possibly using this time for a Southern Heritage Seminar but I will let all know more when I do.
      Lets all keep rolling along as we are now and keep up the recruiting drive. DEO VINDICE!

Camp News

What a time it's been since the last newsletter. We held our Charter Ceremony on Sept. 1 ~ and had a great time with our guests, Georgia Div. Commander Jack and Mrs. Bridwell and Mr . Dewey Barber of Dixie Outfitter fame. What rousing speeches both gave. If all could have a touch of the spirit and dedication to the Cause that these two have we wouldn't need to fight for our heritage. Thanks to these two compatriots for their attendance and fellowship.
      A special thanks goes out to the men of Co. "K" 26th Georgia Re-enactors. They did an outstanding job with the presentation of the colors. Thanks also to the ladies and gents of the Steeplechase Restaurant. Those who missed it
really missed an enjoyable, and at times emotional, evening.

       On Sat. September 27th, I paid our dues to the men of Co. "K" for their attending our Ceremony by my attending and taking part in the re-enactment at Old Bethel Church near Moultrie. Also in attendance was Commander Jack and Mrs. Bridwell. Unfortunately, for me, it was the 26th's day to dress up as Yankees but I do have to say it felt good to die in that awful blue uniform. Commander Jack may still use the pics he took as a weapon in the future so I will walk a straight line with him. It was much enjoyed otherwise and I learned a new respect for our ancestors.

      I'm sure most of you already know that Adjutant Huey Ham has recently suffered a terrible fire at his home with the complete loss of 2 barns and all the contents. Most of his tools and much of his collection of antique farm equipment was lost. No monetary amount can replace all that was lost but we hope for the best from this situation for Adj. Ham and I encourage all to keep him in your prayers.

      On a good note to report, we had a good turnout for the "barn raising" of the Library /Museum at the Confederate Park in
