Jesus knew all his ancestors, as a young Jewish lad he had to recite them as a rite of passage. As SCV members, we have to know some of ours.

The fourth Commandment says "Honor your Mother and Father". Reasoning goes on to say that includes your Mothers and Fathers Mothers and Fathers and on and on.

What better way to honor them than to keep their memories alive and carry on their ideals. Isn't that the purpose of the SCV? To not let them be forgotten?

Remembering them in mind only doesn't cut it. We need to actively carry them forward and like them, leave our mark for future generations to be proud of. Will they be proud of what you are doing now on their behalf?
