........Had the most wonderful flagging experience today in Waycross that one could possibly dream for.....it was electrifying!!!!

As Perdue pulled up to Waycross Technical College, late, he saw no flaggers set up outside as usual, and may have breathed a sigh of relief as it was published that we would be there. But as he was introduced to the audience of about 500, and stepped up to the podium, the flaggers stood up, and the flags came out!!!!!!! We lined the back wall with about 15 of us, two 3x5 state flags, a " sonny lied " poster (Let Us Vote Motif) and some smaller Confederate flags.

Onstage with him was Mr. Fluker, mayor of Waycross, Mike Boggs, Hinson Mosely, and other dignitaries....Mr. Perdue spoke for about 30 minutes, and got to see our flags, and poster for the entire time!!! He acknowledged us right off with such comments as...."I see our friends from the flag corp are here, we want to welcome them, and if we all had the heart that they have, Georgia would be a much better place to live..." at that time, the entire auditorium turned around, saw us, and applauded!!!.....it was glorious!!!!!.....He suggested that it was not necessary that we stand there the whole time, but we did!!!!!!!.........

During his speech, he made mention of " putting the issue(s) before the people for vote".....( what a paradox )....

As he stepped away from the podium, we all shot out front and set up with about 20 flags, and the fun really began.......

As people left they saw us up close and the response was nothing short of ecstacy!!!!!!....waving, horn honking, thumbs up. One guy walked by a couple of times and kept saying..." He did lie, didn't he???".....I sang a few verses of Dixie as the scene got heated up!!!!.

People we didn't even know were snapping pictures, one reporter took some of our names, with a commentary by Kip Pittman...Go Kip!!!!!!!!!.........One girl stepped out from the tech school 3 or 4 times to snap photos!!!!!

Kip's Dixie Truck horn kept us all laughing and whooping it up as people we hadn't started out with came up to hold a flag with us!!!!

Now I am absolutely a proud southern boy, but you talk about a feeling of extreme emotional elation.....this was the pinnacle of my flagging experience!!!!!

Afterward, we all met up at " Old Times Country Buffet "...And I wore my 3x5 into the restaurant as a cape!!! ...We said grace and in a restaurant almost full of people, we stood, and Sam Lyons led us in a verse and chorus of Dixie!!!!!!!!!!.......

Yes.....i am addicted to flaggings!!!!!!!
