Today, 9 January 2004, 15 citizens of the State of Georgia, yankee occupied territory, met at OTC in Waycross, to exercise their First Amendment Right which includes freedom of speech; the right of the people to peaceable assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. My daughter (she is 12 years)and I went toward the front of the auditorium to sit so I could take pictures throughout the event. Right away a "Public Servant" wearing the uniform of a Deputy Sheriff placed himself next to my seat and ask me if we were going to make any trouble. I answered that we were here to exercise our First Amendment Right and I took out a copy of the Constitution that I carry with me at all times and I read to him our right(s) as citizens. I also reminded the officer that he took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution. He stated that he knew all of "this" but there was to be no interruption or problem. I once more assured him that all we were going to do is to exercise our First Amendment Right.

Governor-elect Perdue arrived. Sonny Perdue made history as the first Republican governor (Abraham Lincoln's party) (http://members.aol.com/csahardtack/wanted.htm) elected in Georgia since reconstruction. Governor Perdue was introduced as a "morally principled" man and a "Christian." Perhaps he should read Revelation 21:8 "....and all liars.....".
Governor Perdue took the podium. At this time the flaggers stood holding the PEOPLES FLAG and the "Perdue Lied" signs. They remained standing throughout the governor's speech. He welcomed the flaggers, and reminded the audience how wonderful it is to live in America where people can exercise their First Amendment Right. Let's not forget this important statement that

the governor made.

After the meeting was over, we left and took position across OTC. Jay gave a first class performance singing our National Anthem "DIXIE".

I am proud and honoured to be a citizen of the Land of Cotton -
DIXIE forever! Monika - Romans 11:36
